Ben Foster - Founder & Head Coach
Ben is the head coach and founder of FosterSoccer. He has been passionate about soccer since his childhood growing up in England and played at a high level as a Youth at Nottingham Forest’s academy. Ben believes strongly that enjoyment should be at the foundation of any soccer or sports environment for children. He has been coaching, building and evolving soccer programs with a fun and caring environment for children to enjoy playing the game of soccer in the US for the past 15 years where for the most part he has been based in Westchester, NY. He has developed a player-centered and empowerment approach to coaching and uses a style that allows players to learn, grow and develop as a person and a player. Ben is also the director of coaching at Larchmont-Mamaroneck FC and has been an integral part of growing the club into the largest travel soccer program in Westchester.
Gisela Barreiro - Director of Girls Programs
Gisela has been loving and playing soccer since she was a little girl. Coming from Portugal, where soccer is the prominent sport, made soccer part of her daily life. She loves working with children and seeing them grow as confident little humans. Working with FosterSoccer gave her the opportunity to combine two passions, soccer and working with children. Gisela sees every kid as the individuals they are and works hard to make sure everyone is comfortable and having a fun time while learning to love the game and to become the best soccer players they can be. She has prior experience working in Clube Atlético de Regueira de Pontes and Grupo Desportivo Carreirense, both clubs in Portugal. Gisela got her coach license by the U.S. Soccer in 2019.
